Port Moresby, 25 November 2025 — The Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce & Industry (POMCCI) successfully hosted a Business Breakfast this morning featuring a high-level delegation from the New Zealand–Papua New Guinea Business Council (NZPNGBC). The event brought together more than ten senior representatives from New Zealand businesses seeking to strengthen connections and explore partnership opportunities with PNG’s private sector.
The breakfast provided a warm and engaging platform for introductions, with delegates sharing insights into their industries, operational strengths, and interest in cross-border collaboration. POMCCI members had the opportunity to network directly with the visiting companies, exchange business cards, and discuss areas of mutual interest.
This New Zealand mission included leaders across a wide range of sectors—including engineering consulting (Beca, GHD, Stantec), timber and manufacturing (Croft Poles), steel supply (Airtac Steel), relief and development (ADRA NZ), project management (JLE), glass technology (Glasshape), and commercial advisory services (NZTE, Ackama). The presence of such a diverse delegation highlights New Zealand’s continued commitment to building strong commercial and development partnerships in Papua New Guinea.
Throughout the session, delegates expressed strong interest in forming practical working relationships with local businesses, exploring trade opportunities, supporting infrastructure development, and contributing to PNG’s economic and social progress.
POMCCI extends its appreciation to the New Zealand–Papua New Guinea Business Council for choosing Port Moresby as part of their business mission and acknowledges the value these engagements bring to enhancing bilateral trade and investment.
